Laurel known to her friends as Dolly came to the Uk in 1955 where she was able to use her talents as a seamstress to become the first non white dress maker to Queen Elizabeth II. She had a beautiful voice and was a member of the Malcolm Sargaent Choir and performed all over the UK including The Royal Albert Hall. she is survived by two sons, Three grandchildren and two great grand children. She was a person who would help anyone that required help and also would go out of her way to make them feel comfortable. She was treasurer to her local Methodist church and would help with the social events to raise money for her parish. Her humour could be on the naughty side but never cruel.
